Aluano

Services

We offer a wide range of services in aluminum surface treatment, including:

Anodizing with various color options

Sizes up to 1000 x 800 x 600 mm
What is anodizing?

Anodizing is an electrolytic process in which the surface of aluminum is transformed into a hard, protective oxide layer. This treatment enhances the material’s resistance to corrosion and wear, while also allowing for decorative finishes in various colors.

At Aluano, we offer anodizing in multiple color finishes with high precision. We ensure traceability, documentation, and quality throughout the entire process – supported by our in-house laboratory and modern production management.

Chromating with Surtec650

Sizes up to 1000 x 800 x 600 mm
What is chromating?

Chromating, also known as passivation, is an effective surface treatment for aluminium that improves corrosion protection and ensures good adhesion for paint and adhesives by applying a chromate layer. At Aluano, we use Surtec650 TCP, a chromating solution free from hexavalent chromium—ideal for companies focused on sustainability and high quality.

Surtec650 provides a transparent, electrically conductive, and corrosion-resistant surface, making it suitable for both technical and decorative purposes. The treatment is particularly useful for components in the electronics, transport, and industrial sectors.

Chemical polishing

Størrelse: 350 x 600 x 700mm
What is chemical polishing?
Chemical polishing is an advanced pretreatment for aluminum, used prior to anodizing to achieve a more uniform, lustrous, and decorative surface. Through a controlled chemical process, a very thin layer of the material's surface is dissolved, reducing microscopic irregularities and enhancing the surface's reflective properties.

The treatment is particularly well-suited for components with complex geometries, where a uniform finish can be difficult to achieve using mechanical processes alone. Chemical polishing creates a homogeneous foundation for subsequent anodizing and contributes to a more exclusive and consistent final result.

The process cannot eliminate deeper scratches, pores, or machining marks. Therefore, when high surface quality is required, chemical polishing can be combined with mechanical pretreatments such as grinding or mechanical polishing. The result is an enhanced surface that highlights the natural expression of the aluminum and optimizes the visual outcome after anodizing.

Glass Bead Blasting

Size: 300 x 300 x 100mm
What is Glass Bead Blasting?
Glass bead blasting is a mechanical pretreatment for aluminum, used prior to anodizing to create a uniform, silky-matte, and decorative surface. The process is carried out using fine glass beads, which gently process the material's surface to provide a homogeneous appearance with an exclusive, matte finish.

The treatment is particularly well-suited for components where a uniform visual appearance is desired, while simultaneously reducing minor machining marks, die lines, and surface variations. Glass bead blasting can be used on both simple and complex geometries and creates an optimal foundation for subsequent anodizing.

The matte structure is highlighted after anodizing and provides an elegant surface with low reflectivity, making glass bead blasting a popular choice within architectural, industrial, and design-oriented applications. The result is a uniform and refined finish that combines functionality with an exclusive visual expression.

We perform glass bead blasting both manually and with robots.

Customized treatments

We offer customer-oriented surface treatments and customized solutions, actively taking part in developing the optimal process.

Our team of chemists and engineers works closely with the customer on process optimization, selection of treatments, and the development of complete machinery and production setups.
The goal is always to ensure the right quality, stable operation, and a solution tailored to the specific task.

Sub-assembly – We assemble for you

At Aluano, we also offer sub-assembly as part of our service.
This means that we don’t just deliver surface-treated
components – we can also handle the subsequent assembly of parts,
saving you time and reducing handling in your own production.
For example, we can:
  • Assemble multiple parts into one finished component
  • Install gaskets, screws, or fittings
  • Prepare components for direct shipment or installation at the end customer

Sub-assembly is carried out with the same focus on quality, traceability, and documentation as the rest of our production.
It is a flexible solution that can be adapted to both small and large
series – and contributes to a more efficient supply chain.
